The contemporary oriental impression of famous designer Cui Huafeng

Interview with Cui Huafeng is not news. Since the establishment of Cui's art studio in Xiaozhou Village, the media in Guangzhou have almost all gone into battle and have been bombarded for four years. For the pursuit of fresh media, such an art studio is so bright in Guangzhou that it is practical and supreme. However, almost every media came here with their own presuppositions. Cui’s art studio became a fish. The fisherman’s picking fish rods went away, and the fish heads were cleaned up. I loved to eat the fish back and put two chopsticks on the back of the fish and went back happily...

So Cui Huafeng received a lot of media in the passive state, sometimes looking at those semi-professional or non-professional reports, always felt no scratching. Mr. Luo Yongping from Kelly Art Studio chatted with me about this, and there was a new spark: let Mr. Luo act as a reporter. After all, the dialogue between the insider and the insider will be less and more complicated. Then there was such a dialogue and dug up many interesting and high-minded thoughts of Cui Huafeng.

I and the special photographer Yu Peiyu drove to Laoxiao to arrive at Xiaozhou Village. When asked about the West, I quickly found the alley in Cui Huafeng's studio. After stopping the car, I didn't know where to go from that door. So I went to Lao Luo. Telephone consultation. A few minutes later, one person walked out of the other lane, dressed in a loose blue Chinese kungfu shirt, quite a bit of a fairy. A cell phone hung around the neck, shiny, if replaced by a cross, it became a god. I thought to myself: This is probably the assistant or friend of Teacher Cui, and wearing it is a contemporary oriental impression.

The person asked: "Are you looking for Teacher Cui?" We nodded and kept up. After turning two turns, he introduced us to a four-story building covered with vine plants. This is Cui Huafeng Art Studio. It seems more appropriate to call it a showroom. In the big house, countless original works are placed in association, forming a partial small scene. Obviously, every detail is exhausted.

"God" has nothing to say, but introduces us directly: "This wall was knocked out, and it was built again. There was a funnel-shaped bevel on it. There is no other meaning, just to illuminate..."

I am at the same time as the old lady: "Are you Cui teacher?"

"The media should not stay in education for all, but should spread a vision."

Luo Yongping (hereinafter referred to as Luo): Teacher Cui, I believe that all media friends who visit you will find the inspirational materials needed in your work space.

Cui Huafeng (hereinafter referred to as Cui): I found that the media cares about home life and is very close to the people. During the conversation with the previous media, I found that they encountered many difficulties, mainly because they were unable to find interviewees. Everyone started to explore one thing - it is easier to find the object of the visit, but it is still the group of people coming and going. They are aware that in the circle of Guangzhou, new discoveries are becoming less and less, and my studio has never belonged to this circle, so they thought of me here.

They hope to find things related to life all the time, to inspire the lives of ordinary people, not to know whether they are editors or to guide thoughts. They advocate a direct inspiration, others can see how you live. Guide the way of thinking. I think this kind of guiding ideology is feasible in the initial stage, but it is not the final result, but a process.

Our next step should be to tell the people what is a good life, what is a good taste, what is a cultural connotation, what is a valuable thing. It must not be done like the previous media, 1+1=2, absolutely not like this, not just a table, a chair, but an essential, fundamental transformation. It is to teach you a kind of vision, use this kind of vision, rediscover some new things, get things that match your vision, or you have this kind of vision, to observe other people's things, and make a judgment. The universal education done by the media is good, but it is always like the teaching method of kindergarten. Although I don't think I am very high.

Luo: On another level, can you generalize your studio into a research attitude of life art culture?

Cui: I am just an interior designer. I am concerned about the so-called culture, taste, appreciation, discovery, etc., so I keep vigilant and remind myself that the shots can't be low, the eyes can't be low, and the creation is higher. The taste is higher.

Luo: Mr. Cui's taste is much higher than others. I used to live in a foreign country for a while. I found that foreign studios are not as luxurious as you are here.

Cui: Haha, my studio is just too big.

Luo: Actually, the word "luxury" should not be used to describe it. It should be "taste" and it is a view of life attitude.

Cui: So I often say to the media: "I am very afraid of you, because you always put me in life, and then you have to get closer to the people. This is the purpose of the media, let me cater to the reader all day long.
