IDC: Global tablet market sales decline overall Huawei's contrarian growth

Electronic enthusiasts eight o'clock in the morning: Beijing time on May 5 morning news, the global tablet market has been landslide for 10 consecutive quarters. According to data from market research firm IDC, global tablet shipments fell 8.5% year-on-year to 36.2 million units in the first quarter, down from 39.6 million units in the same period last year. However, the magnitude of this landslide has decreased from the previous five quarters, with the previous declines reaching double-digit ratios.

IDC's statistics include a simple tablet (sliding in landslides since 2014) and a variant that can be used as a tablet (slightly increased shipments). This means that tablets with a keyboard are also in the statistics. The top two tablet makers still maintain a leading position: Apple ranks first, followed by Samsung. The total market share of the top five vendors was 60.2%, up from 57.3% in the same period last year. And no one manufacturer has shipped more than 10 million units.

Apple iPad shipments fell again year-on-year, and market share fell by 1.3%. After 13 consecutive quarters of year-on-year decline in shipments, iPad shipments have fallen to the point where the product has just been released.

Samsung's tablet shipments were flat year-on-year, so the company's market share rose by 1.3%. In the first quarter, Samsung's market share relative to Apple increased, and this was the case most of 2016.

Huawei's tablet shipments in the first quarter increased by 700,000 units, and its market share increased by 2.3%, ranking third, ahead of Amazon and Lenovo. In the first quarter, Huawei also became the only company with the largest increase in shipments among the top five.

Amazon and Lenovo's shipments were flat year-on-year, and market share increased slightly. However, shipments from Huawei, Amazon and Lenovo are still far from the top two in the market.

Ryan Reith, president of IDC, said: "As most people know, the tablet market was born in 2010 with the launch of the first generation of iPads, and other OEMs have subsequently launched some unsuccessful products. The development of the computer market from 2010 to 2013 is different from many of the consumer equipment markets we have seen. It seems that users are reluctant to upgrade such devices for various reasons, and in some cases are no longer Buying these devices. We still believe that the main factor in this phenomenon is the increased user reliance on smartphones, and the progress in product technology and size is small."

Battery Cable

Over time, battery cables have to be replaced due to corrosion or damage. A bad battery cable can cause intermittent starting issues or lack of power to the vehicle, including arcing or power drains.A battery cable consists of multiple stands of wire encased in synthetic material with different types of battery terminals on each end for a reliable connection. Corrosion is the number one cause of battery cable failure, stopping the flow of electricity.
