Developed by Opto 22, groov is a web application for building and viewing operator interfaces for monitoring and controlling automation systems and devices without the need for programming and coding, allowing access to system data under any network conditions and enabling user reception based on Real-time notification of configurable events. The groov system is highly secure, all communications are encrypted using HTTPS, and all connections must be verified by username and password.
The IoT tool groov box, developed for the Industry 4.0 Smart Factory, is a hardware/software solution that does not require a personal computer, making it ideal for IT equipment or low-level manufacturing and automation facilities or remote sites. The rugged, solid-state fan design, operating temperature range of 0 to 70° C, suitable for deployment in harsh industrial environments; compact size, only 106 x 171 x 33 mm; groov box with Gigabit Ethernet interface and USB expansion interface for wireless LAN interface.
In addition to the groov box device, users can also download groov via software. Groov Server Windows Edition software takes up a small footprint and is ideal for personal computers and IT infrastructure. The groov system can be directly connected to Modbus/TCP devices and the Opto 22 SNAP PAC controller, or it can be connected to other manufacturers' equipment via the OPC-UA server, allowing easy and simple monitoring and control of PLC and SCADA systems.
Groov's drag-and-drop interface allows you to build and view mobile operator interfaces with a single web browser such as Google Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer.
