GT diversion measures optimize TD network

The phenomenon that T network users reverse the GSM network has seriously affected the network perception of TD users and 2G users. ZTE started from three aspects, effectively improving the utilization of TD network resources and ensuring user perception.

Based on the analysis of many factors such as network coverage and user behavior on the existing network, there are several main reasons for the serious backflow:

1.2 / 3G interoperability parameter setting problem: Due to the conservative 2 / 3G interoperability parameter setting, frequent 2 / 3G reselection and handover are caused, resulting in shorter residence time of G3 end users in the TD network, and too many 2 / 3G Interoperability easily leads to user unreachable calls and low data service rate, which seriously affects user perception, making users tend to GSM networks when selecting networks, which further causes more G3 end users to camp on GSM networks and intensifies T / G Business backwards.

2. TD network coverage problem: According to the analysis of user behavior and traffic models of the current TD network, the distribution of indoor scene users and service volume accounted for 64% and 69%, respectively. The residential area is the main area for G3 terminal users to conduct business. The deep coverage of indoor scenes such as residential areas has always been a shortcoming of TD networks. Insufficient depth coverage is also an important factor in the high reverse flow ratio.

3. The problem of terminal network selection setting: According to terminal analysis, the proportion of G3 terminals that have used the T network has just exceeded half, and nearly half of the users have been resident on the GSM network, which is one of the main reasons for the return of services. This requires the terminal manufacturer to set the network selection to the automatic network selection mode when leaving the factory. It cannot be set to TD or GSM only. At the same time, the sales personnel need to guide the user in network selection.

In cooperation with China Mobile, ZTE Corporation, through the actual analysis and testing of the existing network, proposed the GT offload technology solution to solve the problem of TD network service backflow GSM network. The solution mainly includes three aspects: 2 / 3G interoperability parameter optimization, PCCPCH transmission The power increase and the application of TD new technology can greatly improve the utilization rate of TD network through the joint action of three aspects.

2 / 3G parameter optimization: reasonable adjustment of 2 / 3G interoperability parameters, without affecting the KPI level of the existing network, as far as possible to allow more TD end users to stay in the TD network for a long time to carry out business, and enjoy the high quality provided by the TD network Voice and high-speed data services;

PCCPCH power improvement: on the basis of the existing network, increase the hard coverage of the TD network as much as possible, improve the deep coverage of the TD network, and enable more users to stay in the TD network for a long time; TD new technology applications: mainly include two aspects , First of all, based on IMEI's 2 / 3G parameter customization strategy, the terminal is divided into types by the terminal's IMEI number. For different types of terminals, different 2 / 3G switching thresholds are used. For example, the data card is mainly used for data services, and the threshold is set to It is more difficult to switch to the GSM network, making it easier to camp on the TD network, enjoying the high-speed TD network, and ensuring the user perception of data services; secondly, in order to prevent the implementation of the above series of strategies, it will bring negative performance indicators to the existing network The effect is to adopt a strategy based on uplink and downlink quality, and implement the uplink and downlink quality monitoring algorithm to improve the network call drop rate and drop rate, and improve user perception.

This solution was implemented in an RNC on the TD network. Before and after using the solution, the phenomenon of TD network reverse GSM network has been significantly improved. After the implementation of the GT distribution scheme, the TD network's all-day voice service in Ireland has increased by 65%, as shown in Figure 1. During the implementation of the GT offload strategy, the reverse ratio of voice services has maintained a downward trend. The reverse ratio has dropped from 64.60% to 49.31%, and the overall decline has been 24%. The effect is very significant, as shown in Figure 2.

Similarly, the reverse flow of data services has also been significantly improved. After the implementation of the GT distribution scheme, the overall TD network data traffic has increased by 72%, and more data services have been undertaken, as shown in Figure 3. After the implementation of the strategy, the proportion of backflow of data business dropped from 23.77% to 10.80%, an improvement of 55%, and the effect was very significant.

Through the actual deployment of the GT distribution scheme on the existing network, ZTE and China Mobile have worked out an effective GT distribution strategy.

The optimization of 2 / 3G interoperability parameters can reduce the frequency of 2 / 3G interoperation of TD users, improve the soft coverage capability of TD networks, and enable more users to stay in the TD network for a long time; The deep coverage of the TD network is expanded, and the hard coverage of the TD network is expanded, so that more users can reside in the TD network to carry out business; based on the 2 / 3G strategy of IMEI, personalized 2 / 3G for specific types of terminals Interoperability parameter setting, give full play to the performance characteristics of various types of terminals under the coverage of the current network, and maximize the use of TD network resources; and based on the uplink and downlink quality link monitoring algorithm can effectively improve the network performance index and ensure the user experience.

Therefore, this solution is worthy of gradual promotion on the existing TD network. It has a significant effect on improving the TD network utilization rate, reducing the GSM network load, and developing TD network 3G services.
