A Smart and Efficient Outdoor Lighting Solution

Osram Opto Semiconductors has expanded its Duris S product family with the introduction of new outdoor LED models. These LEDs are designed to deliver high performance, durability, and efficiency for a wide range of outdoor lighting applications. The Duris S5, S8, and S10 are specifically tailored for residential lighting, high-ceiling installations, and floodlighting, offering cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.

Engineered with advanced materials, including a high-quality epoxy package and silver leadframe technology, these LEDs are built to withstand harsh weather conditions while maintaining excellent light output and performance. With varying package sizes, the Duris S series provides flexibility to meet diverse customer needs. The S5 measures 3.0 x 3.0 x 0.6 mm and delivers 1 W of power, while the S8 (5.0 x 5.0 x 0.7 mm) offers 3–6 W, and the S10 (7.0 x 7.0 x 0.7 mm) provides 8–12 W. Their compact design and high lumen output make them ideal for creative lighting solutions in both residential and commercial settings.

In addition to their superior performance, these outdoor LEDs offer an impressive lifespan of up to 50,000 hours and strong resistance to corrosion. They maintain excellent light efficiency, color quality, and brightness—key factors for long-term use in areas like parking lots, security lights, and garden illumination.

"With this new outdoor version of the Duris S family, we are bringing our renowned quality to both indoor and outdoor applications," said Kum Yih Wong, Product Manager at Osram Opto Semiconductors Germany. "We’re excited to help our customers reduce energy costs through our high-efficiency outdoor product line."
