Real intelligence or pseudo intelligence? Six smart TV seven scenes measured

The rapid development of AI-powered TVs in 2017 has gradually brought smart home technology into our daily lives, covering aspects like clothing, food, housing, and entertainment. This transformation has made it possible for us to experience the beauty of a fully intelligent lifestyle. As an essential part of our homes, smart TVs play a key role in determining whether a TV is truly intelligent or just a pseudo-smart device. Scene coverage is a crucial factor in this evaluation. With the continuous expansion of smart applications on these devices, user expectations have also risen significantly. Only a powerful scene coverage can consistently deliver new and improved experiences. Currently, there are numerous smart TV models available on the market. To determine which ones offer excellent scene coverage, Wanwei Home Network selected six well-known brands—Haier, Micro Whale, PPTV, Changhong, LeTV, and Thunderbird—for testing. The evaluation focused on seven scenarios: smart dialogue, TV control commands, movie playback, music playback, web search, weather queries, and application opening. Test Products: Haier LQ65AL88M92, Micro Whale 49D2U3000, PPTV N55, Changhong 55Q5N, Music Super 4X55M, Thunderbird I55C-UI First, can AI TVs achieve intelligent dialogue? Today's smart TVs have become central to home entertainment. But when we're alone at home, can they chat with us and relieve boredom? Testing included asking five times, "What is your name?" ten times, "Can you tell me a joke?" and five times, "What can you do for me?" The results showed that Thunderbird had the most comprehensive dialogue function, while others struggled with complex interactions. Second, how effective are TV control commands? We tested basic commands like power on/off, volume adjustment, image mode, signal switching, and channel selection. While some TVs performed well, many still had limitations in understanding and executing voice commands. Third, can movies be searched and played? Testing involved asking for specific films, genres, and actors. Only Thunderbird could both search and play directly, while others faced issues with accuracy and playback capabilities. Fourth, can music be played on demand? While most TVs could recognize song requests, only Thunderbird and Haier offered direct playback, with Thunderbird showing better performance. Fifth, does the TV support web searching? Most models lacked this feature, with Thunderbird being the only one that could open websites after adding a "browse" command. Sixth, can weather forecasts be queried? Most models could provide local weather but struggled with international locations. Thunderbird, Haier, Changhong, and LeTV performed best in this area. Lastly, can local apps be opened via voice? Haier excelled in this, while others had difficulties recognizing the term "local." Based on the tests, Thunderbird stood out for its comprehensive scene coverage and overall performance. While other models had their strengths, none matched Thunderbird’s level of intelligence and functionality. In conclusion, while smart TVs have made great strides, there is still room for improvement, especially in handling complex voice recognition and expanding scene coverage. As AI continues to evolve, the future of smart TVs looks promising, with the potential to become true companions in our daily lives.

60W solar panel

A solar cell panel, solar electric panel, photo-voltaic (PV) module, PV panel or Solar Panel is an assembly of photovoltaic solar cells mounted in a (usually rectangular) frame, and a neatly organised collection of PV panels is called a photovoltaic system or solar array. Solar panels capture sunlight as a source of radiant energy, which is converted into electric energy in the form of direct current (DC) electricity.
