Enterprise: Hand in hand of foreign companies to research and develop, occupy the patent highland
10 years ago, when the LED wire bonding machine was widely used in China, Mulinsen sent people to Europe to find a spare part. In a foreign factory, a high-grade boring Tool originally used for semiconductor IC (integrated circuit) packaging was purchased and shipped to Mulinsen's factory in Xiaolan Town.

As early as 2005, Du Jifang had not yet set foot in the LED industry. The company mainly produces electronic and plastic parts, and its LED products were still in the laboratory stage.

Du Jifang said that after five years of painstaking research and development, the company seized the opportunity to bring mature products to the market and stay at the forefront of the market.
Government: supporting service industry, innovation policy support
Eight years ago, the output value of LED in Xiaolan Town was only 160 million yuan. Xiaolan LED industry has sprung up in the emerging industry. In Lin Jiliang's view, on the one hand, it comes from the concentration of large-scale enterprises in the industrial chain, and on the other hand, from the innovative atmosphere created by Xiaolan Town.
In recent years, Xiaolan Town has continuously launched LED industry supporting services: investing more than 10 million yuan to establish a public service platform for LED industry development; establishing "Xiaolan LED Industry Technology Research Institute" with South China Normal University; opening at Xiaolan Jianbin Vocational School LED lighting professional, cultivate LED lighting practical talents; launch a series of scientific and technological innovation support policies to promote enterprise innovation.
According to statistics from Xiaolan Town's Department of Economic Information, as of the end of 2015, there were more than 230 LED-related enterprises in the town. The total output value of the industry exceeded 10 billion, accounting for about one-third of the city's total. The packaging enterprises represented by Mulinsen and Yiguang Electronics occupy a pivotal position in the middle of LED. Xiaolan LED enterprises have obvious advantages in the street lamps, table lamps, decorative lights and other industries, and laid the leading position of Xiaolan LED in the market segment.
