I was trying to fix a 48-inch LED TV that turned on but showed a black screen. After checking the basics, I decided to replace the constant current board first since it's relatively inexpensive. However, after swapping it out, the problem remained. That made me think the issue might be with the LED lamp beads themselves. So, I had to take the screen apart. It’s a big job, especially for a 48-inch panel. I tried doing it alone at first, but honestly, it was too complicated. I ended up asking a friend to help. Together, we carefully removed the screen and laid it down on the bed. Then we took off the polarizing film and acrylic plate to check the LED lights underneath. To my surprise, two of the LEDs were already broken. Replacing those SMD patches wasn’t easy. I spent a lot of time searching online for the right replacement, but I didn't want to order it online because the screen was already disassembled. I was worried about leaving it apart for too long in case something got damaged. Eventually, I tried bypassing the faulty LEDs by shorting them directly. But that didn’t work. I then tried replacing the resistor—first with a 10K ohm one, which didn’t brighten the backlight enough, and then with a 1K ohm one. This time, the backlight turned on, and after running it for two hours without any issues, I felt confident it was working. The final step was putting everything back together. It was nerve-wracking, but I managed to do it. A few hours later, the screen finally showed an image—but no text. It was still a bit confusing. I looked through some repair guides and forums, but it wasn’t very clear. I posted some photos hoping someone could help, but it’s been a tough process.
