Samsung and LG will launch new products will be based on AMOLED and OLED

According to the Yonhap News Agency, yesterday, two major panel makers in South Korea, Samsung Display and LG Display, announced that they will display their flagship AMO LED and O led products in San Francisco this week.

Samsung said it will showcase flexible, rollable AMO led displays and AMOLED products for virtual reality (VR) and automotive. The 5.7-inch flexible AMOLED product that Samsung will display is only 0.3 mm thick and has a resolution of 2560*1440. It can be rolled into a finger-like reel with a thickness of 0.3 mm and a weight of only 5 grams.

In addition to products for smart phones, Samsung will also showcase other products for AMOLED devices, including cell touch AMO led on the 13.3-inch and 14 inches display screen PC monitor, the thickness of only 1.01 mm, than LCD products are 45% thinner and weigh 33% less, only 120 grams. In addition, Samsung will also showcase ultra-HD samples for VR devices. “Because pixels are 2.3 times higher than HD screens, the quality of VR images has been greatly enhanced,” said a Samsung official.

In terms of LCD products, Samsung plans to release 65-inch ultra-high definition black crystal and ultra-high-definition curved surface ultra-thin products.

This display week, LG Display will focus on its O led series products . LG plans to showcase a 77-inch TV panel with the most advanced HDR technology, and LG emphasizes that the resolution of this product is currently unmatched.

LG will also introduce 31.5-inch 8K and 4K displays, 14-inch notebook display and 6-inch mobile device advanced in-line touch system display, and the world's first 15.6-inch notebook touch panel.

During the display week, Kim Sung-chul, vice president of Samsung Display, plans to give a keynote speech on the company's research and development efforts.
