Beijing 1.8 million energy-saving lamps annual electricity saving fee of 28 million

The “Beijing Green Lighting Project†began with the replacement of energy-saving lamps from more than 50 government agencies. From November 2004 to August 2005, nearly 240,000 high-efficiency lighting products and 98 lighting power savers were installed. The annual electricity saving was about 20.5 million kWh, and the annual electricity saving was 16.4 million yuan.
According to energy-saving monitoring, 1.8 million ç› energy-saving lamps can save 39 million kWh of electricity a year, saving electricity costs by 28 million yuan; reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 38,700 tons, sulfur dioxide by 1,164 tons, and nitrogen oxides by 1,700 tons.
