LED yellowing common problems and solutions
LED yellowing is a common issue that occurs during the manufacturing process. The main causes include:
1. Excessive baking temperature or prolonged baking time.
2. Incorrect proportion of the adhesive, especially when there's an excess of component A, which tends to cause discoloration.
To prevent this, it’s important to follow proper curing procedures:
1. Cure and demold AB glue at 120–140°C for 30 minutes. Baking above 150°C can lead to yellowing.
2. For optimal results, cure at 120–130°C for 30–40 minutes. If the temperature exceeds 150°C or the time is too long, yellowing may occur.
3. When producing large lamp holders, consider lowering the curing temperature to avoid discoloration.
Regarding LED bubble problems, the reasons may include:
1. Bubbles in the bowl due to poor adhesion of the bracket.
2. Air bubbles in the bracket caused by excessively high curing temperatures, leading to rapid epoxy curing.
3. Cracking or bursting of the rubber cap, often due to insufficient curing time or uneven curing. This can also happen if the AB glue has exceeded its usable lifespan.
4. Surface bubbles on the lamp head, typically caused by difficulty in degassing the epoxy or improper vacuum application, as well as long glue application times.
Solutions depend on the specific situation and may involve improving the production process or consulting with the epoxy supplier.
For LED bracket creep issues, the causes could be:
1. An uneven surface on the bracket, causing capillary action.
2. Volatile materials present in the AB glue.
In such cases, it's recommended to contact the supplier for further assistance.
When LED packages show color variations after baking, the possible reasons are:
1. Overcrowding in the oven leading to poor ventilation.
2. Localized high temperatures within the oven.
3. Presence of other colored contaminants in the oven.
To resolve this, ensure proper ventilation, clean the oven thoroughly, and verify the actual temperature inside.
If lamps on the same row of brackets show inconsistent coloring or gelling, the issue is likely due to inadequate stirring. Make sure to stir thoroughly, especially in the corners of the container.
Difficulty in demolding may be caused by issues with the AB glue or insufficient curing hardness. Contact the supplier to confirm the correct curing temperature and time.
If products with the same dosage of the same lotion show different colors, it could be due to uneven toner concentration or sedimentation. To fix this, warm up the toner and mix it well before use.
