Daqri enters the enterprise AR software side with the new Worksense suite

A preview version of the DAQRI Worksense kit is now available through the DAQRI Worksense Early Adopter program. This gives businesses a chance to test the platform before its full release.  Beyond being a provider of rugged smart glasses, DAQRI has taken a bold step into the enterprise AR software market by launching the Worksense productivity suite. The platform offers five key applications that deliver essential features found in leading enterprise AR solutions like Upskill, Scope AR, RE'FLEKT, and Atheer. These include work instructions via DAQRI Guide, remote collaboration through DAQRI Show, and device visualization using DAQRI Tags.  The Worksense lineup includes tools designed specifically for AR professionals and business users. DAQRI Scan enables 3D scanning capabilities, allowing users to capture detailed 3D models of products or equipment for use in platforms like Unity, SketchUp, Autodesk, and Siemens. DAQRI Model: BIM Edition transforms building information models (BIM) used by architects, engineers, and construction teams into immersive 3D visualizations. Autodesk Construction Line Director Sarah Hodges commented: “By integrating with Autodesk’s BIM 360 platform, DAQRI brings 3D models directly to the project site, enhancing communication and quality on construction projects. We’ve been working closely with DAQRI to develop professional-grade AR technology, and we’re excited to offer this powerful new visualization tool to our customers.”  The preview version of the Worksense kit is accessible through the Early Adopter Program, and interested users can sign up on the DAQRI website. DAQRI Show is already available, with other applications set to launch in the coming months. Ian Hughes, senior analyst at 451 Research, noted: “In industrial or business environments, AR adoption depends on solutions that clearly solve existing challenges. As AR continues to evolve, it will play an even more critical role in transforming how companies operate.”  Integration with existing systems is crucial for successful AR implementation. DAQRI Worksense not only provides core mission-based solutions such as remote support and instructional guides but also enhances them with advanced features like 3D environmental scanning and model viewing. Enterprise system connectors are also included in the suite. The standard perpetual license version of Worksense comes bundled with DAQRI Smart Glasses, while a professional subscription model offers additional features like team collaboration, analytics, and hardware upgrades. The professional package costs $549 per month over 24 months, but DAQRI offered a discounted rate of $389 until May 31, 2018.  Like mobile operators who often sell devices at a discount to generate recurring revenue, DAQRI has adopted a similar strategy with its software and subscription model. Instead of relying on one-time hardware sales, the company now has a sustainable revenue stream through ongoing service fees. This approach aligns well with the growing demand for flexible, scalable AR solutions in the enterprise space.
