Repair Changhong LCD TV 3D42A3700iD three failure-free one case - Home Appliances

On March 2nd, a customer came to the store and called Xiaofu to repair their TV. After discussing, I went to their home where a Changhong 3D42A3700iD PDP TV was mounted on the wall. The issue was that the screen suddenly turned off, with no power, and it had been broken since last year without being fixed. After disassembling and doing a quick test, I found the fuse was intact, and there was 300V, but the TV wouldn't turn on. Checking the initial components showed they were normal, so I decided to take the power board home for further inspection. However, I was worried about other potential issues, so I negotiated with the customer, who agreed to let me take the unit for three days and return it after repairs. The cost was orange green brown (a local term for negotiation), and the customer accepted. After inspecting the power supply board [PSPF251502A], I noticed several problems: the first pin of ICB801Sd was blown, one leg of CB801 capacitor was rusted and broken, and three pins of QQ806 were also damaged. Removing the IC [3BR2565JF], I found it shorted and had to scrap it. For QQ806 [STD5915], measuring the pins showed an open circuit, and there was mildew and peeling on the back of the board. I cleaned the board with water, removed the old paint, and used a TB to check the connections. Replacing the faulty parts was expensive—new 100s were too costly, so I bought a total of 14 yuan worth of power supply ICs and planned to fix it myself. I started by searching for the STD5915 transistor on the old board but couldn’t find any matching part. I checked online forums and couldn’t find alternatives. Then, I came across information on Marco Polo suggesting I could use D13007 instead. I looked through various power boards and found only 13001 and 13003. Eventually, I found a D13007 in a local market. I measured the pinout of the TO-92 package and matched it with the original. I drilled a hole in the heat sink of the power IC, applied silicone grease, and secured the component with a thin wire. I replaced the broken CB801 capacitor with a 472/2kV ceramic capacitor. After completing the repairs, I sent the TV back. Three days later, I received it and installed the new 3BR2565JF IC, applying silicone grease. When I powered it on, it output 5V normally. Pressing the power button turned the screen on, and it displayed snowflakes correctly. Testing with a DVD, the picture was clear. The customer was satisfied, and I offered a one-year warranty.
